When I went to Miyajima island, I climbed Mt Mizen, the view was wonderful.
宮島に行った時、弥山に登った。景色は素晴らしかった。

 島ではたくさんの鹿を見た。

たいてい、日本人は「many」と言うが、「lots of, a lot of」の方がナチュラルです。 
小さな島と山の前置詞は「on」です。

I ate delicious pizza at a restaurant on the island.
島の店では美味しいピザを食べた。
